WE DELIVER - WE SERVE
Sit back and enjoy your event. There will be no worries with this gold star service. We prepare the Sundae Bar just how you want it. You pick the ice creams, the sauces, the dry toppings, and tell us when to come. We prepare everything at Izzy's, deliver it to your site, and serve it. No need to worry about freezers and melting ice cream as we bring our own "freezer" pack system. The only thing you need to provide is a banquet table or two (if it's a big event) and sit back and watch all your guests enjoying Izzy's ice cream.

Additional Charges:
- We bring white linens to cover your banquet table(s) and to cover the ice cream tubs. Everything just looks nicer that way.
- We bring dry ice as a back-up to each event we cater.
- We charge by the hour and per server. Generally an event with 100 or fewer guests can be done in one hour with two servers. A larger guest total would require more servers and a longer serving time. If you give us your guests total and serving times we will figure out how much labor you need to purchase.
- We charge sales tax based on the location of your event.
- We do not add a gratuity charge onto your bill. We leave it up to you to decide whether or not to tip our servers.
WE DELIVER - YOU SERVE
Just like in our 5 star service, you pick the ice creams, sauces, the dry toppings and tell us when to come. We prepare everything at Izzy's and deliver it to your event site. Then either using our "freezer pack" system or your own coolers, you scoop the ice cream for your guests. Sure it's not our 5 star service, but we provide everything for you to make it one for your guests.

We have a $500 minimum order for deliveries with an additional $55.00 minimum delivery fee and deliver in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area only. Return equipment pick-up fee is available for $55.00. WE PREPARE - YOU PICK UP
Ice Cream Sundaes in a Bag. Great for smaller gatherings. Pick your ice creams and all the toppings. We'll make and prepare all your sundae items. Just tell us when you will pick it up and we'll have it ready. Be the ice cream star and bring it to your event and scoop away.

All our novelties are hand-made with our special chocolate coating. For ice cream sandwiches we use the Birchwood's cookies, located in Minneapolis.
Our most popular catering novelty. It is our izzy scoop, that little 3/4 of an ounce scoop we put on all our single and double ice cream cones, hand-dipped in Izzy's house-made chocolate, on a lollipop stick. We can make them in any flavor we make. For extra-special treat, we can dip them in nuts.

We require a minimum order of 25 items for catering orders. If you require a smaller quantity, please order what we currently have available in our shop for purchase at the retail price.
Sometimes you just want a tub of ice cream on a certain date, ready for pick up. As long as it is a flavor we currently make, we will be able to make a big tub for you. Of course, you are always free to come in and pick up larger quantities of ice cream, but you will have to choose from what we have in stock.
Note: For custom orders you must order a minimum quantity of 1, 2.5 Gallons, or 2-6 quart, or 3-gallons. You must give us two weeks notice. We reserve the right to reject custom orders due to we do not have the ingredients in or we do not currently make the flavor, or we are unable to fulfill the order in time within our production runs.

- Can I hire just one server? No, Izzy's always works in a team of two.
- Is a tip included? No. We do not include a tip. If you want to tip, you can add it into your total?
- Do you require a down payment? Yes. We require a 20 percent down payment. Once we receive your down payment, your event date or delivery or pick-up time is secured.
Delivery/Pick Up Package FAQs
- Do you deliver outside the Twin Cities area?Unfortunately not. We primarily deliver in the Metro area relatively close to Izzy's Ice Cream Café in ST. Paul, Minnesota.
- Do you have a minimum delivery order? We have a minimum $300 ice cream order for delivery and an additional $55.00 fee for one-way delivery charge.
- Do you charge for deliveries?
- Yes. We deliver ice cream if your order is $300.00 or above and if you live in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area. If you are renting our equipment you will be charged for the delivery and a return-pick up charge.
- Can I bring the equipment back myself to avoid a return pick up charge? Yes.
- Will my home cooler and ice work to store the ice cream? Ice will not keep ice cream frozen!!! Ice can even cause ice cream to melt faster. We have a long "scientifical" answer for the reasons that ice will not work. A home cooler will work with dry ice or special freezer packs that can be rented from Izzy's Ice Cream Cafe. The freezer packs we use are specifically engineered to help us keep ice cream frozen. If you ever hear Jeff talking about these freezer packs he uses words like phase change, delta point, and an array of science terms...Jeff loves thermodynamics so much he wishes Click and Clack of Car Talk would do more episodes on thermodynamics instead of all the car stuff.
- Will the ice cream be really hard to scoop or will it get too soft? Thermodynamics again! Ice cream that is difficult to scoop is a possibility, but we plan and prepare for perfect scooping conditions. At 8 degrees Fahrenheit ice cream is at perfect tasting temperature. So we scoop ice cream at 0 degrees Fahrenheit to make the perfect sundae and/or ice cream cones. We temper the ice cream from a storage temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit to our desired temperature of 0 degrees of a temperature close to this depending on weather conditions. If you pick up ice cream and follow our directions it will be ready when you are.
- Why do I need dry ice? We use dry ice to maintain the cooler(s) at or around 0 degrees, and in some cases to make the cooler(s) colder to the stop ice cream from tempering further. *Note dry ice can be dangerous in two very different ways: 1 - dry ice is -109 degrees Fahrenheit and can burn skin in as few as three seconds upon direct contact. 2 - dry ice sublimates and in so doing "consumes" oxygen the danger is a person could suffocate in a closed environment like a walk in freezer or refrigerator full or lots of dry ice
- Will the ice cream tubs fit in my home freezer? Our 2.5 gallon ice cream tubs are 10" tall by 10" wide so we think it will fit in your freezer but we admit to some bias on this question.
- How do I keep the caramel and hot fudge warm? We prepare our caramel and hot fudge by warming the squeeze bottles in very warm water and as the water starts to get closer to room temperature we give it a warm up like the famous ever warm cup of coffee in your favorite diner.
- Do you provide a serving table? We do not provide serving tables unless you wish to rent them; we can help.
- Why would I need to rent linens? We always require linen rental so that we can make the best presentation of the ice cream and frankly to conceal the milk crates and foam set up we use to secure and insulate the ice cream.
- How much ice cream do I need? [Scoop size, ice cream quantities] The average serving size for catering events is 5.33 oz per person...to make this scoop size for a sundae we use a 4 oz scoop... almost everyone we know over scoops ice cream. We have it down to a science. Figuring these numbers you will find that a 2.5 gallon tub = 320 ounces of ice cream will serve 60 people.
- What are the most popular flavors? In catering the most popular flavors are: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Oreo and Peppermint Bon Bon. Of course we make lots and lots of other flavors.
