BUSINESS AND ENVIRONMENT SERIES- Integrating Renewable Energy: A Roadmap to Scaled Application

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

8:30am - 1:30pm
About the Program:
In 2008, renewable energy sources represented more than 50% of total added power capacity in both the United States and Europe (Renewables Global Status Report: 2009 Update). As businesses look to advance their sustainability practices beyond energy conservation, companies encounter multiple obstacles that may prevent them from successfully integrating renewable energy sources into their energy portfolio. These obstacles may range from how to benchmark energy use to challenges with identifying financing options.

MEI's second session of the 2010 Business and Environment Series will provide attendees with an overview of renewable energy options and a roadmap and decision-making tools to enable scaled application of various renewable energy. A diverse range of business leaders will share from their own experiences about various challenges, strategies, and benefits of implementing renewable energy technologies. Peer-to-peer discussions and interactive breakout sessions will help each attendee develop strategies for possible application in their company.
